Patrols take the Hare-onna to locations across Japan. The stage-selection map displays regional weather, so your next destination and your party can be considered together. Sunny and rainy regions can favor different weather specialists.

The forecast is part of the game system: Weathernews supplies the weather data displayed in the game. It affects more than the appearance of the sky.

Forecast symbols become battle energy

The battle presentation connects a location’s weekly forecast to weather energy. Weather-magic cards use that energy, making the forecast a useful way to assess which magic fits a destination.

Sunny specialists more readily obtain sunny-weather magic cards; rainy specialists favor rain cards. The developers illustrated the idea with repeated sun or rain symbols powering matching magic. Those examples explain the system; they are not a complete spell-cost database.

A practical way to read the battle preview

  1. Look at the destination’s forecast rather than only your own local weather.
  2. Compare the weather symbols with the kinds of magic your characters use.
  3. Check which outfits are available before sending the party out.
  4. After the patrol, return worn outfits to the laundry cycle.

The September 14 presentation also showed character switching. Full battle controls, final card lists and damage calculations have not yet been published.

What patrols are fighting

The enemies called 闇雲 arise when negative energy possesses rubbish. Defeating them cleans up towns and tackles the abnormal weather they cause. This connects the patrol, battle and cleaning themes.
